Roasted Mackerel in Blackbean & Garlic Sauce


  • 2 boneless mackerel fillets
  • 1 x Kwan's Kitchen blackbean & garlic stir fry meal kit Buy Now
  • Optional - light soy sauce
  • Vegetables of choice e.g. fine green beans


    1. Season mackerel with our award winning Salt & Pepper Spice (sachet 1).
    2. Place mackerel fillets in a casserole dish.
    3. Spread Kwan's Kitchen blackbean & garlic paste (sachet 2) onto top of each fillet.
    4. Optional - pour dash of soy sauce over the fillets.
    5. Cover casserole dish with foil.
    6. Oven roast mackerel in a preheated oven (gas mark 6) for 10 minutes or until cooked.
    7. If you like it spicy, drizzle Kwan's Kitchen award winning Szechuan Chilli Oil (sachet 3) over top of each fillet.
    8. Serve with steamed rice and fine beans.
